As a result the enemy is attempting to redeploy and increase the number of shellings. In key areas, the Ukrainan Armed Forces have successfully counterattacked the enemy.

Kyiv is one of the enemy's primary strategic goals. To date, a group of troops have formed to defend Kyiv and the surrounding area. Two defense circles were formed, and the enemy was stopped. The Russian occupiers refused to take active action in the Brovary and Boryspil region.

Instead, the Ukrainian military is conducting operations to liberate captured villages in the Kyiv region.

The situation in the region is difficult but under control. The greatest danger remains - Zhytomyr highway, Bucha, Irpin, Gostomel, Makariv, Vyshgorod district.

Nothing has changed in the last 24 hours.

The enemy has dug in at Bucha and Nemyshaiv communities. The enemy is moving through the communities of Borodyanka, Gostomel, and Dmytriv. Nighttime fighting escalated in Irpen and the Gostomel community. Enemy vehicles can be found in the communities of Baryshivska, Kalityanska, Velikodimerska, and Kalinovska.

The occupiers suffered numerous losses in the Moshchun area, forcing them to stop further progress. The enemy attempted reconnaissance operations in the direction of Brovary, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces advanced. The enemy was stopped.

Since the beginning of Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have liberated more than 30 settlements in the Kyiv Region from occupiers. The enemy has changed from offensive to defensive mode, as the occupying forces are unable to carry out combat missions due to massive losses and injuries.

According to a Maxar Technologies analysis of satellite images, the Russian military is literally digging in and turning to defense after failing in offensive operations. The occupying forces are constructing earthen ramparts around their military equipment northwest of Kyiv, Ukraine's capital.

The Russian occupiers, however, continue to launch missile strikes on the city. Throughout the night, the threat of missile strikes persisted in the Kyiv region. Irpen, Moshchun, Gostomel, Vorzel, and Makariv community settlements are still under active and cruel enemy fire.

Furthermore, the occupiers in the region are constantly threatening the region with air strikes. In light of this, the Ukrainian air defense shot down an enemy SU-34 fighter-bomber in the Bucha district, which is significant. A Stinger MANPADS was used to shoot down the plane.

In all districts of the Kyiv Region, diversionary groups are fighting. Deputies from the "Opposition Platform - for Life" faction of the Kyiv Regional Council condemned the Russian Federation's armed aggression against Ukraine and left the faction. The deputies will continue to operate on a non-partisan basis. Baranovska V.V, Vashchishin T.I, and Feshchenko A.V. decided to step down from the faction as well as Shvets I.M.

Kharkiv direction.

Russian occupation forces units do not engage in active offensive operations; instead, they are constantly regrouping and adjusting supplies. The Russian army, on the other hand, is not abandoning its attempts to seize Izyum; in fact, additional forces are being transferred there. On the outskirts of Izyum, fighting with the Russian occupiers continues.

Nevertheless, the military and territorial defense of Izyum delivered humanitarian aid to the villages of the Izyum district and organized the evacuation of people from there. The Ukrainian Army firmly hold their positions.

The Russian military tried to attack the positions of the Ukrainian army with light and noise grenades, but their attempts were repulsed.

As previously reported, the 437th Training Regiment and the 26th Panzer Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces were advancing deep into Ukraine, heading in the direction of Kamyanka. But the Ukrainian military stopped and destroyed the enemy. The losses of the enemy are being clarified, there are no losses on the part of the Ukrainian army.

Fighters of the territorial defense of the Kharkiv region destroyed the infantry fighting vehicles of the occupiers.

The situation in the Kharkiv region remains difficult within the Izium district, Balaklia, Liptsi, Tsyrkuny, Kupyansk, and Vovchansk.

On the night of March 17-18, no shelling was reported in Kharkiv. This is the first quiet night since the beginning of the war, but the shelling resumed in the morning. On March 18, a fire was contained in the Barabashovo market. A rescuer died at the scene of the fire.

It is significant that the Russian occupiers are actively misinforming the local population. For example, in Liptsy, Russian propagandists videotaped that they were allegedly distributing humanitarian aid to residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Kharkiv region. The invaders are trying to create a positive image.

To do this, they use actors to distribute food to Ukrainian civilians on camera.

Luhansk direction.

The enemy established itself on the western and northwestern outskirts of Rubizhne, making unsuccessful attempts to reach the city's southern part.

The Russian occupiers' attack on Rubizhne was stopped by the National Guard from the temporarily occupied Staraya Krasnyanka. They destroyed two dozen Russian occupiers and forced them to retreat during the battle. The enemy troops' offensive was accompanied by a forty-minute shelling of the city with mortars and artillery.

Fighting continues for the city of Popasna. Fierce street fights are taking place. These cities remain under the control of the Ukrainian military.

Regardless, Russian propagandists are already spreading false information about the alleged capture of these cities.

I'd like to draw attention to the fact that the Armed Forces control Kreminna, Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Horske, and Zolote.

Furthermore, the Russian occupiers suffered casualties near Kreminna. The National Guard discovered two Russian infantry fighting vehicles and destroyed one of the BMP-1 grenade launchers. During the battle, the crew of another enemy BMP-1 was unable to withstand the fire and fled, abandoning weapons and equipment.

The National Guard received a trophy infantry fighting vehicle BMP-1 that was operational and ready for combat missions.

More than twenty buildings in Rubizhne and Severodonetsk were destroyed overnight by the occupiers.

According to the Ukrainian Security Service, the Ukrainian military captured two men mobilized in the so-called "LPR" in battles near Severodonetsk. They are currently giving testimony to investigators.

Humanitarian aid was delivered to Severodonetsk and Lysychansk. Rubizhne was evacuated, and humanitarian aid was delivered to the city.

Chernihiv direction.

The night of March 18-19 in Chernihiv was the quietest in recent weeks. There was no mass shelling and bombing of the residential sector of Chernihiv.

The enemy is currently trying to bypass Chernihiv from the northwest to launch an attack on Kyiv. But in the last two weeks, the Ukrainian military has not allowed the occupiers to make any advance on any of the sites.

The enemy's tactics have changed in the last week; they are digging in settlements, placing equipment near houses, confiscating residents' phones, and refusing to let them leave. There have been numerous reports of looting.

During the last 24 hours near Chernihiv, the Armed Forces repulsed two attacks by Russian troops, as well as destroyed the command and control post of the battalion group.

Enemy BMP, tank, and armored car Tiger were destroyed, and enemy personnel losses were specified.

In addition, the Ukrainian military destroyed the Russian "Buk-M2" complex.

In addition, the Armed Forces attacked enemy artillery, destroying two enemy batteries, and fired on a large number of vehicles and rotating personnel.

Over the last day, there were 20 fires in the Chernihiv region, 19 of which were caused by shelling by the occupiers.

Four infrastructure facilities, 14 residential sectors, and another facility in the Chernihiv region were targeted by occupiers.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are repelling the enemy! We are under the reliable protection of our military. Keep calm, read the validated news and have faith in the Armed Forces!
