Russia is turning the occupied territories of the Luhansk region into military bases, and there is a risk of pseudo-referendums

The Kremlin is wasting no time in attempting to integrate the occupied territories of Donbas into Russia. A few words about the current processes in the temporarily occupied Donbas territories, as well as the risks in the short and medium-term.

I am convinced that holding referendums on the inclusion of pseudo-republics into the Russian Federation poses a risk. Preparations for them are underway, particularly in the captured Luhansk region.

I am certain that there is a danger of referendums on the inclusion of pseudo-republics in the Russian Federation. They are being planned, particularly in the nearly-captured Luhansk region.

The hryvnia is also actively being pushed out of the financial market of pseudo-republics.

Furthermore, an active transition to unified Russian legislation is underway in all areas - legal, educational, and so on. The local "Code of Criminal Procedure" is quickly being brought up to Russian standards.

The process of integrating the quasi-republics' industries into the Russian Federation continues.

A qualitative update of the so-called management apparatus, with representatives of the Russian Federation replacing local financial and political elites.

We also see a centralization of financial flows, which was not experienced previously.

Besides, the Russian Federation is actively transforming quasi-republics into military bases.

An additional contingent of Russian troops is stationed in the captured areas of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, where hospitals and military bases are being built. There are relevant programs at the federal level.

What impact can our government have on these processes?

We can only influence this by launching preventive missile strikes on the enemy's rear bases.

Making further military infrastructure construction impossible. We must also stop providing pensions to occupied territory residents.

Ukraine, in my opinion, should immediately stop providing pensions to residents of occupied territories.

It makes no sense to pay pensions to non-Ukrainian citizens. Because these funds are used to fund illegal armed groups. Quasi-republics cannot be financially supported by the Ukrainian budget.
