The Kerch Bridge is burning again in the midst of the hot season

On the night of July 17, at least two powerful explosions were heard in the Kerch Bridge area: at 3:04 a.m. and at 3:20 a.m. In the morning, the Gauleiter of Crimea, Serhii Aksyonov, announced that the traffic at the crossing was stopped due to an "emergency situation" that occurred in the area of the 145th support. Aksyonov urged people to refrain from traveling across the bridge. The Ministry of Transport of Russia reported damage to the road surface of the bridge.

Crimean partisans wrote about the explosion on the Kerch Bridge and the damage to its supports.

Natalya Humenyuk, the spokeswoman of the Operational Command "South", said that the night explosion could be a planned provocation by the Russians for the sake of tension around the grain agreement, which ended on July 17.

At the same time, several Ukrainian sources immediately reported that the SBU and the Navy of Ukraine were involved in the nighttime undermining of the bridge.

Andriy Yusov, the spokesman of HUR (The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine) said that the enemy's logistics problems could create advantages for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian mass media write that the attack was carried out by modernized water drones. They also reported two dead and one injured - allegedly a family from the Belgorod region was driving on the bridge at the time of the explosion.

The authorities of the Krasnodar region offer an alternative route through the occupied territories of the Kherson, Zaporizhzhya, and Donetsk regions to Russians who currently want to enter or leave the occupied Crimea. It has already been called "the road of death" in Telegram channels.
