Ukraine's Armed Forces repelled a Russian attempt to break through near Toshkivka in the Luhansk Region

Russia's efforts to encircle the Ukrainian group in Zolote and Severodonetsk-Lysychansk have failed.

Massive enemy artillery and air strikes were launched against residential neighbourhoods Sorokine, Metolkine, and other settlements where the Russians are attempting to push the Armed Forces of Ukraine out of their position. They are targeting housing infrastructure first and foremost, using the scorched earth tactics that previously allowed them to advance deep into the Luhansk region.

Russian occupiers took Metolkine, a village in the suburbs of Severodonetsk, Luhansk region. 

On June 20, the threat of Russian front expansion near Popasna was localised. They are attempting to push the Ukrainian defence in the direction of Lysychansk in order to prevent the scenario of a possible forcing of a natural obstacle - the Seversky Donets River.

Heavy fighting is raging in Severodonetsk's industrial zone. Despite Russia's use of artillery, which is prohibited by international weapons and aviation conventions, the Armed Forces are standing firm. 

We control roughly 30% of Severodonetsk, i.e. the Azot plant's industrial zone.

It should be noted that in addition to the military, there are civilians at the plant. The occupying country is trying to use this fact in its PSYOPs. 

The enemy provides a so-called land corridor, which allows civilians to flee to the Russian-occupied city of Svatovo. 

Approximately 13,000 residents of the occupied districts of Luhansk Oblast have been deported from Luhansk Oblast territory to Russian Federation territory in the last 24 hours.

Russian troops are currently unable to advance in the area of Severodonetsk due to the effective work of Ukrainian artillery. The occupiers attempted to break through in Toshkivka. They were partially successful, but then the Ukrainian artillery took action.

First and foremost, we are talking about the Polish self-propelled tracked gun-howitzer (AHS Krab). Due to technical advantages and characteristics, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have the ability to inflict preventive strikes not only on the front, but also on the rear positions of the occupying country, with a range of up to 40 km.

The threat of a breakthrough is now localised. It is worth noting that the occupiers attempted to break through with dozens of heavy equipment units. The occupiers suffered significant manpower and equipment losses. 

There are currently plans to cut the Bakhmut-Lysychansk route. It's no coincidence that the most intense fighting is taking place in this area. This is the life path on which the rotations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine take place.
