Editor in chief of UA SOUTH - Osman Pashayev,

Today I'd like to remind you about our modern leaders.

First of all - Nariman Celal, the 1st deputy of The Head of Crimean National Assembly-  the Crimean Tatar National Parliament.

He took part in the Crimean Platform summit in Kyiv last year and was captured by invaders in Crimea 10 days later. Two Crimean activists and cousins Asan Ahtem and Aziz Ahtem were in prison at the same time. All three Crimean citizens were tortured for the fact that their group of three allegedly planned to organize terrorist acts in Perevalne (the Aqmescit suburb). Currently, the Russian regime wants to prison Nariman for 19 years.

Mustafa Cemil Kırımoğlu. He was deported at the age of one year by the Stalin regime like all Crimeans. His resistance against the Soviet regime began in 1960th. He was prisoned 6 times and the last time they released him was in 1980. His 303 days of the hunger strike were included in Guinness records. He stayed alive because he was forcibly fed by jailers through a tube. Long live Mustafa aga!

Qırım (Crimean) National Flag day was invented in 1990th by the Leader of the Qırımtatar diaspora in Türkiye Ahmet Ihsan Kırımlı.He was MP and Tourism minister in 1970th. He and his environment established the best Qırım organizations in Ankara and other urban places. He passed away in 2011.

Refat Chubarov is the Head of Mejlis and former MP. He is the first democratic Head of the National Parliament - Kurultay. In 2013 he was elected by direct, open competitive elections. He won by a small margin. His competitor Remsi Ilyasov offended and sold himself to Putin's henchmen in 2014. Chubarov lost his father, was banned from coming to Crimea by so-called Prosecutor Niash-Miash, and for the last 9 years he hasn't seen his old mother. He lives a very moderate life. He is too much emotional but true intellectual and he is the leader of Modern Nation.

Lilyâ Budzhurova is a famous Crimean Tatar politician, journalist, and media producer.

She was MP of the Crimean Autonomous Republic. She was in opposition to Mustafa Cemil Qırımoğlu in 1997. But 20 years later Both of them decided to bury the hatchet. She is the first prominent Crimeantatar name in Ukrainian and international media like STB and France press. She is saving Crimean Tatars from Aksyonov’s pressure and later I hope we will know her role in protecting a lot of journalists, activists, and political prisoners.

Milliy bayraq künümiz hayırlı olsun! Happy National Flag Day!
